Merry Christmas - 2013
The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others' burdens, easing other's loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmas.

What not to say to a Cop.
- Sorry officer, I didn't realize my radar detector wasn't plugged in.
- Hey, you must have been doing 125 to keep up with me, good job.
- You're not going to check the trunk, are you?
- I was trying to keep up with traffic. Yes, I know there is no other cars around, that's how far they are ahead of me.
- Hey, is that a 9mm? That's nothing compared to this 44 magnum.

Lawn Mower
A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining,
the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing,
and the lawn mower is broken.

Pelican and the Taxman
What does a pelican and a taxman have in common? Both are bipedal, both are carbon-based lifeforms that procreate by DNA replication, both in all probablility eat fish, both have survival instinct, both require fresh water for hydration, both have five senses; vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell, both are capable of at least limited cognition, and both can turn aggressive when provoked.

Word of the Day: Dentist [den-tist] n.
Dentist:
An amiable health professional who, following the devastating insult of rejection from medical school, must endure a lifetime of Dr. Mengele analogies, the aroma of decaying tooth pulp, and possibly the worst scenery this side of a proctologist's office.

Scream
I discovered I scream the same way whether I'm about to be devoured by a great white shark or if a piece of seaweed touches my foot.

Stingray
There is no evidence of evolution in stingrays, ancient fossilized remains appear to be identical to the stingray of today.

Stone Mountain Facts
1. The historical carving on Stone Mountain is the only memorial to a trio of Southern Generals and their horses: Jefferson Davis on Blackjack, Robert E. Lee on Traveler and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson on Little Sorrel.
2. The carving measures 90 feet tall, 190 feet wide and is 11 feet deep. It spans three acres and is larger than Mount Rushmore.
3. Granite originally mined from Stone Mountain was used in the foundation of the Georgia State Capitol building, steps of the east wing of the U.S. Capitol, dome of the Federal Gold Depository at Fort Knox, locks of the Panama Canal, and Frank Lloyd Wright used this stone to build the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. Because it was constructed from Stone Mountain granite, the hotel was one of the few buildings to survive the powerful 1923 earthquake.
4. You can only see one third of the entire mountain. It is estimated that it extends up to seven miles below the earth’s surface and into parts of North Carolina.
5. Between 1942-1945 more than 20,000 amphibious military transport DUKW vehicles known as the “Ducks” were produced and built by women. Stone Mountain Park is the exclusive place to Ride the Ducks in the State of Georgia.
